Possibly one of the most difficult choices one can make when building a truck is what wheels and tires to buy. After choosing what brand of wheel to buy, then the style of wheel has to be deterined. Then, do you want an all terrain tire that will perform better on the highway, or an off-road oriented tire that will net better results in the dirt? Oh, and how big of a tire will be necessary, without overkill? When it came time for me to make such decisions, the guys at 4 Wheel Parts were full of advice. After listening to them, the ORC staff, and researching each manufacturer myself, I came to the decision of the Pro-Comp All Terrain tire and Weld forged two-piece aluminum wheels. Why? After analyzing what the ORC Chevy Silverado will mostly be used for, the Pro-Comp All Terrain tire turned out to be one of my top choices. And with a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty, I figured I could not go wrong. As far as the wheel, I knew, and had been told that Weld makes one of the strongest and lightest wheels on the market. From there, it was just an asthetic decision of what looked good, and what didn't. The Weld Sidewinder turned out to be my top choice. Pro-Comp's Radial All Terrain Tire How important are the tires on your truck? Well, how important is the cargo riding inside your truck? That's what I thought. As many have said before, tires may be one of the most important components installed on a vehicle. Tech Stuff First - Features:
