MSD responce to Scout parts question

• We do offer an ignition system that is compatible with your stock distributor. We unfortunately do not offer a distributor for the International motor. The 6470 is the ignition box that I would recommend. This is our new off road ignition, it is water and vibration proof. It uses weather tight connections on the wires and is potted(filled with epoxy). If you want a rev-limiter for the truck, use part number 8769. This is to keep the motor from going past the RPM you set it at. We do offer a timing control that allows you to adjust the timing 15 degrees from in side the cab . This part number is an 8680, This unit however is not water proof like the ignition box so I would recommend mounting this unit in the cab of the truck. The coil I would recommend would be part number 8222, this coil is our high vibration Blaster coil. The last thing that I would recommend would be spark plug wire set part number 31199. This is our 8.5mm low resistance(about 50ohm's per foot) high suppression plug wire. This would be a complete ignition system for your Scout.
