Photographers recently caught a glimpse of the 2017 Ford F-350 Super Duty, and while it was covered in traditional camouflage seen on pre-production test trucks, this camp actually announced the F-350’s debut at the Texas State Fair next month toward the end of September.

We first saw the new F-350 earlier this year, and we are expecting the the new Super Duty F-250 and F-350 to be updated with aluminum construction in the cab and bed much like the recent changes on the all-new 2015 F-150. There’s also been the long-rumored talk of a 10-speed automatic transmission, which is speculated to be equipped on a number of Ford trucks in the coming years. If it does make the new truck, it will add a decent improvement in efficiency compared to the outgoing vehicle.

While spy photos show a significantly more blocky appearance in keeping with the traditional Super Duty line, we do expect the new truck to have a little more rounded styling much like the new F-150 as well. We also expect the latest driver assistance features and infotainment, such as Sync 3 and Pro Trailer Backup Assist recently unveiled on the 2016 Limited F-150 will be offered on these 2017 trucks.

The primary engine is still expected to come from Ford’s 6.2-liter V8, but there’s no confirmation whether Ford will equip its EcoBoost technologies on the new trucks. We expect to see the new Ford Super Duties on sale sometime next year as a 2017 model.
