Last month I installed an R&M hot water shower on my truck. This article is a review of a companion product designed to work with this shower. The TownSend Deluxe bathroom is a set of useful bathroom accessories that takes care of many of the privacy issuers related to camping out on the trails. The main part of the Bathroom is it's tent like shell. It sets up in about 5 minutes, just like a small tent but is tall enough for a 6 foot plus person to comfortably stand up inside! This Shower "tent" has a few special features inside that help with shower duties. On the top there is a loop that allows you to attach an incoming water hose to keep your hands free to wash.  To hold soap and other shower accessories there is a handy pouch on one side. There are two closable windows built in, these can be left open or for more privacy closed and secured. The deluxe bathroom also comes with a unique and simple  toilet. It's basically a bucket with a seat on it. This bucket is a little taller than normal  making for a comfortable sitting height. I number of large bio-degradable bags are included. These bags fit under the seat, in the bucket. After using the toilet you remove bag and tie it up in a knot. The bag can then be stored or buried. The shower also comes with a tiny water pump of it's own attached to a hose. This can be used with other hot water systems or just a bag of water left out in the sun for warmth. A second slightly smaller bucket is also included and this can be used to collect and hold water. The entire set including shower tent, two buckets, bags, seat, pump, and hose easily fit into a single bag for easy storage. I also found there to be some extra room in the bag for the hot water shower hoses and other accessories. I recently tested the shower on a cold December day out on the famous Rubicon trail. I found the tent easy to setup and use. The set does not include a ground covering but I found standing on the ground not to uncomfortable. A tarp can be used under the shower to prevent having to walk on the ground. The shower did a good job of keeping wind off and held the hose and soap making it easier to take a shower.
