New Color Screen Options for Edge Products Tuners
Color Screen and Color Touch Screen for late model trucks and SUVs
Programmer/tuning products aren't new to Edge, but for 2009 they introduce Color Screen (CS) and Color Touch Screen (CTS) displays, both available on all four levels of the tuning line:
Insight - easy-to-install while still offering comprehensive features. Users simply plug in to the vehicle's OBDII (diagnostic) port, and within second they will begin seeing readouts of more than 100 different vehicle parameters. The Insight line has basic scan tool and data logging capabilities, such as speed, RPM. Capture, display and reset your vehicle's diagnostic trouble codes, without an expensive trip to your dealer. $279 for CS, $299 for CTS*
Mileage Max - all the functions of the Insight, plus additional empahsis on fuel economy improvement. For simple daily driving or heavy load hauling or towing, maximizing fuel delivery can have immense impact on mileage without losing vital horsepower. Edge claims that the Mileage Max product, in either CS or CTS versions, can increase your fuel economy by up to 7% - if you drive 20,000 miles per year and your gas or diesel averages even $3.00 per gallon, the unit pays for itself in the first year. The more fuel prices go up, the more you'll save with a mileage module. $319 / $349*
Evolution - All the basics in a programmer, with advanced tuning options. Customize your shift points, correct speedometer for oversize tires, timing adjustment - all from your control panel inside the cab. $459 / $599*
Juice Attitude - The flagship tuner, this is more than a simple display module. With on-the-fly adjustability, the most-demanding and technical drivers can ensure they are getting maximum performance. The Juice controls timing and duration of injector firing, and monitors your transmission, fuel pressure, turbo boots and EGTs. Massive horsepower and torque gains can be achieved. $759 / $899*
The CS unit can either be attached to the windshield with a suction mount or choose an in-dash gauge pod. The larger CTS uses the windshield suction mount. Or, both the CS and CTS can be mounted with a variety of Arcon-brand two-tab options.
Product will begin rolling out in February 2009 starting with the GM applications, and by year end, will finish with the final models for Dodge. For the future, look for continued development with sister company Superchips - sharing information, these tuning products will be available for a wider lineup of vehicles.
