Flatbed Photos - Bed

Oct. 01, 1997 By ORC STAFF

Here are some pictures detailing the work done on the bed of the 1985 Toyota.

Rear shot no seat or winch. The bar is a stiffener and a grab bar for the riders in the rear seat. Notice the tracks along the side. They are holddown brackets with relocatable tiedown points made by Anchor Point.

Detail of Anchor Point brackets with two tiedown points in place. The square bracket is the storage point for the Warn XD9000I winch.

Rear shot with removeable seat in place. I make use of the Anchor Point system to mount the seat via 4 tiedown points. Each will hold 1800 lbs. so I'm sure the seat will not go anywhere.

The Warn XD9000I winch in it's storage bracket. Notice the Warn clevis. The winch mount bracket has a reciever in it so the clevis can be mounted to the winch for using a snatch block. The clevis can also be used directly in either of the truck's recievers for being winched or using a snatch strap.

A picture of the winch in the truck's rear reciever with the clevis in place. Remember that there is a setup on the front for winching as well.

Another shot of the winch in the truck's rear reciever. Notice the red Warn quick disconnect power connector just to the left of the backup light. The black object just above the power connector sitting on the edge of the bed is a dust cover for the power connector.

The winch is stored and ready for travel. Notice the dust cover in place over the Warn quick disconnect power connector just to the left of the backup light.

Detail of the right side showing the high lift jack and mount along with the 5 gallon gas can and mount.

Deatil of the left side showing the spare tire mount and the BFG Mud Terrain T/A 33x9.50x15 radial spare on a stock Toyota rim.

Future plans for the bed include a place for storing a shovel and axe. Also a small aluminium box for keeping gear in like snatch block, tree strap, clevis and gloves.
