Clemson 4-Wheel Center/Telluride Rotary 4x4 Tour July 24-26

Mar. 26, 2009 By Press Release
The 23rd Annual Telluride Rotary Club 4x4 Tours present unparalleled off-pavement action again this July. Appealing to 4x4 enthusiasts and novices alike, this family-friendly weekend provides guided tours of some of the most scenic and challenging trails in Colorado's San Juan Mountains, "The Switzerland of America." Famous trails include Governor Basin, Poughkeepsie Gulch and Imogene Pass. This event's signature run is Black Bear Backwards, traversing the normally one-way trail uphill against gravity. Trails are chosen to suit everything from rental Jeeps (Dollar offers a Rotary 4x4 discount) to highly modified, dual-lockered 4x4s. All trips comply with the Tread Lightly! philosophy of responsible off-pavement travel.

The Telluride 4x4 Tour is sponsored by Clemson 4-Wheel Center, allowing all proceeds to go into the Telluride Rotary Scholarship Fund. The tax-deductible $150 registration fee per vehicle (two occupants) includes a BBQ, a cocktail reception and goodie bags. Registration can be done online at www.tellurideticket.com.

For more information, contact Telluride Rotary Club, www.telluride4x4.com, 888.605.2578, info@telluride4x4.com. The Clemson 4-Wheel Center/ Telluride Rotary 4x4 Tour -- which often attracts national media coverage -- is limited to 50 vehicles.
