FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
There's a lot more to see and do at this year's Off Road Expo®. In addition to the over 250 different exhibitors spread out over more than eight acres at the Faiplex in Pomona, three-quarters of which is indoors, there are a number of activities taking place which will be of interest to show-goers. The producers of "Dust to Glory", the highly anticipated Dana Brown Film documenting the annual running of the SCORE Baja 1000, will have a booth at 4457 Panamint Trail and occupy the stage in Hall #4. Director, Dana Brown, Producers, Scott Waugh and ledgendary motocross racer Mike "Mouse" McCoy are among those who will be on hand to discuss the making of the film with off-road enthusiasts. The "Dust to Glory" stage will be busy with guest speakers and be the focal point from which the D2G crew will be showing some special film clips to introduce the film at various times during both days of the Off Road Expo®. At 2:30 pm on Saturday, SCORE President, Sal Fish will take the stage to conduct the drawing for starting positions for the nearly 300 entries in this year's 37th Annual Tecate/SCORE Baja 1000 scheduled to be held on November 17-20 in Baja California. And there are a number of raffles. Baja Pits and Locos Mocos will be teaming up to hold the "Baja 1000 Racer's Raffle". Tickets will be available at the Baja Pits booth located at 4806 Puertocitos Road and are $25 each. The winner gets a free entry to this year's Baja 1000, two drums of race fuel and complete pit support from the Baja Pits/Locos Mocos pit support crews throughout the race. All you need is a race vehicle and you're ready for the peninsula run all the way to LaPaz. If you think you might want to do it on a bike or quad, go on over to 4442 Panamint Trail where the Checkers are holding their 5th Annual Raffle for your choice of a new Honda XR400 Dirt Bike or a Yahama Banshee Quad. Tickets are available at the booth or from any Checker at $5 each or 5 for $20. Down by the Dust to Glory Stage, at the Goodyear exhibit, 4655 El Chinero Road, you can sign up for a chance to win a free ride on the Goodyear Blimp while across the street, at 4844 Glamis Dunes Trail, the California Association of Four-Wheel Drive Clubs are selling raffle tickets at $2 each for a chance to win a specially prepared 2004 Jeep Liberty, in a drawing to be held at their annual convention in February 2005. Last year's winning ticket was purchased at the Off Road Expo®. When you want to head outside, you'll find a live
band playing almost continuously on the Redwood Street Bandstand. Returning
again this year, the Free-Style Motocross Demonstration will be taking place on
Broadway Street three times each day as dare devil bikers fly four stories into
the air. For family fun, stop by the Court of the Redwoods, directly across from
the rear entrance to Hall #4 and check out Hardcore Check the schedule insert in the program for exact times. For more information on Off Road Expo® 2004, visit our website at www.offroadexpo.com or call us at 626.599.8622.
