Dana “The Ultimate Dana 60” JK Wrangler Axle
For those who truly wheel hard, Dana unveiled its direct-to-public monster Dana 60 axle for the Jeep Wrangler JK. Dubbed The Ultimate Dana 60, these front and rear axles will initially be offered through Mopar but will later be available through Dana directly. The 35-spline SAE-4340 nickel chromoly steel axle shafts are designed for serious toque (i.e.: HEMI, turbo or diesel upgrades) and the added abuse that comes from large off-road tires. Dana also says the 60 will feature enhanced Spicer pinion gearing, large SPL 70 U-joints, a full-float design for improved load-carrying capacity and upgraded heavy-duty brakes with plug-and-play ABS. There’s quite a bit more to The Ultimate Dana 60, so head on over to DanaUnleashed.com for more info. Be sure to keep you eyes peeled for other products from Dana soon, including applications for TJs and other Jeeps.
Old Man Emu BP-51 Shocks
Parent company ARB highlighted the new line of Old Man Emu shocks in its booth at this year’s SEMA Show. Although we caught wind of the new line of bypass and coilover shocks just before the show, it was great to see these new models in person. The new shocks offer internal bypass technology to adapt to varying trail conditions off the highway, while simple external adjustments can be made for the compression and rebound to easily fine-tune the suspension in any condition. OME says the new shocks feature 51mm (2.0”) diameter bore with a 19mm shaft. Dash 6 Teflon hoses with high flow fittings are used, while 6061 T6 aluminum construction offers great heat dissipation and corrosion resistance as well.
