Team Weyhrich is ready to rage the Nevada desert!!!!
The Weyhrich Team rolled through contingency at Buffalo Bills Casino property here in Primm, Nevada this afternoon. They were styling with the cold road sodas and lots of smiles as they continue to rage on their epic 2003 season of winning. Mark is fresh off a big win at the Baja Mex 300 only a couple weeks ago and is hoping to take home another piece of winning hardware tomorrow.
Primm, Nevada: The SCORE-International PRIIMM 300 contingency and technical inspection just finished less than an hour ago here at Buffalo Bills Casino parking lot in Primm, Nevada. Set on the California and Nevada border in the middle of the desert, the sun was blazing and crowds were thick at this wild contingency. And this after a wild epic night at the Tree Bar inside Buffalo Bills Casino. ORC staffers witnessed a huge melee as the testosterone inside the casino built up among the world's top desert racers. Finally, the melee broke out near the bar and after less than 45 seconds, the battered losers left and the crowd raged on. PCI's Sweet Devil fired up one of her famous songs and calmed the crowd and minutes later it was like nothing ever happened. So the heat and sun soaked racers and team members charged on all day long at contingency and most had smiles.
Brent Parkhouse cruised through contingency with his team as they have their sights set on a big finish here at Primm, Nevada.
The total entries for this race have been reported to be 136 racers preparing for battle in the Nevada desert. SCORE reports that although this is not a record for entries, it is more than they have ever seen in the PRIMM 300 race previously. The first race is due to take off from the start line at 6:00 a.m. and the second race including the featured trophy trucks and Class 1 vehicles is readied for a 1:00 p.m. start. The word among many race teams who ORC spoke with today report that the course has been cleaned out by Mother Nature over the past six weeks due to the summer rain storms that pelted the area. Mark Weyhrich said, "It's going to be fast and smooth and our team has teamed up with several other race teams and agreed to get through all the slower traffic together and then race for the finish in the last two laps." Brent Parkhouse said that they are expecting a fast ride and they are preparing for the long haul and will finish this race. They expect the attrition rate to be high and plan get to the finish line as they are in the hunt for the points championship.
