Spy photographers recently snapped shots of the new 2018 Jeep Wrangler up close and personal with a tighter look at its new front fascia. Jeep appears it will add LED lighting on the next-generation Wrangler, something that worked its way onto the last run of the current-generation JK Wranglers.
The next-gen JL Wrangler, that is still on pace as a 2018 model year vehicle that will be available in 2017, appears to have more LED technology than we’ve seen on the iconic off-roader in the past. As the closeup shots reveal, the Wrangler’s iconic round headlights are still in place but they now sport new LED elements tucked inside the JL Wrangler’s round headlight clusters.
There are also clearly two bright LED strips placed on the leading edges of the 2018 Wrangler’s front wheel arches. The new lighting is unique and will certainly give the JL Wrangler a unique appearance on the highway or the trail. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the JL Wrangler while testing on open roads, but this is the first time we’ve had such a good look at the lighting shining brightly. There’s no doubt the new wide-set LED strips on the new Wrangler will give the model a distinct appearance from the earlier-generation models.
