  • Shift drum detent and star are now one piece like the RFS models assuring accuracy and durability.

Carburetor

  • No longer has a power jet carburetor.
  • New atomizer is easier to jet and less affected by weather conditions.
  • Standard jetting covers a broader range.

Suspension:
Front Forks

  • 43 mm USD.
  • New settings.

Shock Absorber (WP)

  • Upper shock body is now forged instead of cast.
  • More shaft travel.
  • High-speed compression damping adjustment only.
  • New valving.

Chassis:
Sidestand

  • Bigger, Badder, Better Bolt.

Swingarm

  • Improved design at the rear axle mounts.
  • Minimizes flex and twisting of the entire swingarm and improves overall performance.

 

Graphic Design
  • Seat is still two-toned, but with a new manufacturing process.
  • Rear fender and side panel are BLACK.
  • Spoiler, light mask, and front fender are ORANGE.
  • Spoiler logo is the same as 2001 but with more wear resistance.
