Irvine, Calif. – Monster Energy Kawasaki’s off-road program and Traxxas, The Fastest Name In Radio Control®, teamed up for three rounds of the World Off Road Championship Series (WORCS) to present the first-ever Traxxas Triple Crown, which culminated at the final round in Mesquite, Nev. Traxxas donated nearly $12,000 in Special Edition Kawasaki Slash 2x4 R/C cars for the 49 triple-crown champions.
“Traxxas has been a great partner for us and our off-road programs,” said Jason Smigel, Monster Energy Kawasaki off-road supervisor. “Its not everyday that a sponsor, not only wants to get involved in our racing program, but step up in the series we are involved in. It’s exciting to see Traxxas activate its sponsorship and everyone benefit from such a great company.”
Each winner received a special edition Traxxas Slash 2x4 R/C car with a Kawasaki body style that was released this fall. The special edition car is available to order at any Kawasaki dealer.
“One of the best features of a series within a series is that you see some different winners for the Traxxas Triple Crown,” continued Smigel. “In its rookie season with the team, Traxxas has proven to be a great partner to both our team and off-road racing.”
