The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing season is winding down and the second to last race at Glen Helen Raceway is now in the books. This race marked the return of night racing to Glen Helen, which had the big lights cranked up for this exciting tilt.

Pro 4 Unlimited

Kyle LeDuc, who entered the weekend with the points lead in Pro 4 Unlimited, also started the race by taking the lead ahead of Bryce Menzies, Carl Renezeder and RJ Anderson. Menzies fought and took the lead on second lap before a full course caution came out after a battle for fifth went wrong and Eric Barron spun out, causing a pileup on lap five. After the green came back, LeDuc was seen smoking and eventually he ended up hitting a rail and subsequently getting hit by Rob MacCachren, ending LeDuc's night.

After the restart from the caution, Doug Mittag took the fourth spot right before catching a rut and going into a double barrel roll, bringing out the yellow flag once again. This would be a theme in this race, as a later spinout by Rob MacCachren and Doug Fortin's truck coming to stop on turn two would bring out the caution again.

The final restart saw Menzies lead the way to the end of the race, chased in by Anderson, Morris, MacCachren and Cenni.

In Sunday's race, Eric Barron took the lead early on with LeDuc, Anderson, Menzies and Renezeder chasing behind. At the competition yellow, LeDuc was leading the race with Menzies right behind, and despite some back-and-forth, LeDuc would hold on for the win. Anderson eventually moved into second with Cenni placing third.

LeDuc is the favorite to win the championship going into the final two rounds of racing and this win certainly helped.

Pro 2 Unlimited

The final race of the night saw Bradley Morris jump out to an early lead, followed by MacCachren, Jeremy McGrath, Rodrigo Ampudia and Brian Deegan. These five stayed in this same configuration until lap 8, while on the restart from a caution Deegan jumped by Ampudia, who would spin out soon after. Sadly, this didn't work out for Bryce Menzies, who nailed Ampudia in the passenger side door, ending his night.

On lap 12 MacCachren challenged Morris and bumped his back end, allowing MacGrath to jump in front of both for the lead. Deegan also managed to jump in between Morris and MacCachren, leaving the three to have a hard fought battle for third. MacCachren got by Deegan eventually and held on for third, while Morris would take second and McGrath would hold onto first.

This win extended McGrath's points lead in Pro 2.

As for Sunday's race, MacCachren led the way early with Anderson, Menzies, Morris and Patrick Clark close behind. Rob would hold on to win the race, his second win this season in the class. Clark came in second with McGrath taking third.

Pro Lite Unlimited

In the Pro Lite class, Brock Heger began at the front of the pack, followed by Jerett Brooks, Ryan Beat, Ronnie Anderson and Mickey Thomas. After a hard fought race, points leader Brooks took the win, followed by Anderson and Christophe Polvoorde.

In Sunday's race, Heger held on for the win followed in by Brooks and Polvoorde.

Pro Buggy Unlimited

Pro Buggy got off to an interesting start when pole sitter Eliott Watson's car wouldn't fire and he got hit from behind by Matthew Brister. This caused a full race restart, but Watson's car wouldn't re-start, so his race was done before it even started.

At the end of the first lap of racing, Bud Ward was in first, followed by Darren Hardesty Jr., Trevor Briska and Kyla Aarup. Ward ended up holding on for the win while Briska took home a career-best finish of second (in this class). Mike Valentine rounded out the podium.

On Sunday, Hardesty Jr. took an early lead and held on for the win, with Eliott Watson coming in second and Sterling Cling in third.
