The Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series headed to Reno, Nevada, for the fifth and sixth round of the 2014 short-course off-road season. With the 15-race regular season just hitting its stride, racers are still jockeying for positions in the standings and battling for hard-earned points.

Kyle Leduc continued his winning streak this past weekend in Reno, sweeping the Pro 4 class in Reno much like he did for rounds three and four in Lake Elsinore, California. He’s now won five of the six races so far this season.

Menzies, Johnson Win at Round 2

Kyle LeDuc earned the sweep in Pro 4 this past weekend, which now gives him five wins in six rounds in 2014.

In Pro 2, Brian Deegan maintained his lead in the series point standings by sweeping the stacked class in Reno. Deegan also continued his streak of podium finishes for the season, as he is now six for six in making the box at every race in 2014.

Chad George earned the win at round five in Pro Buggy. He finished in third place at the next race, swapping places with Kevin McCullough, who won round six but finished third at round five.

With over 20 drivers lining up for every Pro Lite this season, the parody in the class has remained consistent at each round, with two different winners claiming victories in Reno. RJ Anderson earned the win at round five but failed to crack the top five at round six. Kyle Hart rebounded from a rough round five race in which he did not finish to then claim the win at round six.

RJ Anderson finished atop the podium in Pro Lite at round five.

In Pro Buggy, Chad George and Kevin McCullough both earned wins (George at round five, McCullough round six) and subsequent third-place finishes over the weekend. Bradley Morris’ absence at the weekend’s races also meant that George was able to further extend his points lead for the season.

The Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing Series will resume at the Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah,  from June 21-22.
