SPORTSMAN Classes

CORR Sportsman Racing competes on similar dates with its sister organization - Championship Off Road Racing (CORR). Sportsman racers compete together at the same race venues as their Pro counterparts and contemporaries to create one of the most exciting and thrilling forms of motorsports in the country today.

Facts About CORR Sportsman

Nearly 100% of the members are part-time racers maintaining full-time jobs. Of this, 75% of the racers are seeking track success to race full time as a profession. Of all forms of racing, the dedication and sacrifice of the CORR Sportsman racer is unmatched in brutally harsh conditions.

Interestingly, while top female drivers hold their own, CORR Sportsman features both a high

performance truck as a buggy division dedicated to women. Two of the most fan-appealing divisions with full fields are the Sportsman 2 high performance trucks and the Sportsman Stock pickup trucks.

On any given day, Sportsman 2 race truck drivers can give their Pro contemporaries a run for the money, while Sportsman Stock is one of the fastest growing divisions of any racing type in the USA. In certain buggy divisions, it is not unusual to see more than 35 of these exotic off-road rockets take the green flag.

CORR Sportsman racers earn recognition under customary year-end Championship, a special

Sportsman Crown Championship is bestowed upon competitors at the annual off-road World Road Raceway.

Television Information

ESPN2 is the fastest growing cable network in the country adding 13-million households in 1996. With the "deuce" now in 56-million homes, Marty Reid Enterprises, Inc. (MRE) has positioned the CORR Series to take advantage of this phenomenal growth through 1999.

The Pro Series will continue as a two-hour format. Pro Lite, Pro 2 and Pro 4 Divisions will run once on Saturday and once on Sunday at each event. This gives the "live" audience twice as much racing, as well as viewers at home.
Each Pro Series show will air a minimum of three (3) times with the first air in either a prime time (A-slot) or a Saturday-Sunday afternoon (B-slot). A second air will be in a prime time West Coast slot and the third air will be at ESPN's discretion. This means the Pro Series will receive forty-eight (48) hours of exposure.

MRE will also produce an additional hour of racing from each event consisting of various truck and buggy Sportsman Divisions. These shows will air under the same parameters listed above and, for viewer clarity, will run in the fall of this year. This is an additional twenty-four (24) hours of exposure.
The Winter Series will consist of twelve (12) half-hour programs and will air in the first quarter of next year. Again, the schedule will be the same as above which means an additional eighteen (18) hours of programming.
To conclude, the CORR Series television package totals ninety (90) hours in 1998 and again in 1999 and, for the first time in history, all of the Pro Series events have guaranteed time slots.

Aside from the CORR race, the race track at Luxomburg h~ds weekly Friday night stock car races sanctioned by IMCA.

The nearest lamer city to Luxennburg is Green Bay (about 15 miles).
