Best in the Desert Blue Water Desert Challenge Qualifying

BJ Baldwin qualified fastest in Trick Trucks.

Nearly 170 racers are entered in the Best in the Desert Blue Water Desert Challenge from Parker, Arizona. The unique format of the BITD Parker race combines the results from two days of racing on the rough course.

Robby Gordon posted the fastest qualifying time in Class 1500.

Robby Gordon still holds the overall Class 1500 lead followed by Garrick Freitas. In the Trick Truck class Mark Weyhrich holds a small lead over Steve Sourapas. In Class 1000 there’s a close race between Philip Heynen the two races tied in second place in Carrie Smiley and Cody Reid.

In Class 1100, Bryan Folks holds a commanding points lead. Troy Vest sits atop the points in Class 1200. Hank Winter holds a slim two-point lead over Ryan Mattox in Class 2000. Steve Alexander has a large lead in Class 5000, while Troy Messer has really dominated the TrophyLite class this year.  The action in Class 7200 is tight, with Al Hogan lading the points up to Parker. Dr. Macrae Glass holds the lead in Class 8000. Tim Casey has Class 8100 pretty much in the bag.

Chuck Hovey qualified fifth in Class 1500.
