It’s been a minute since we’ve rounded up a cadre of off-road accessories for you to add to your wish list. With that in mind, it’s high time we presented a trio of wallet-hoovering gearbox ideas over which to drool.
Hellwig Rear Sway Bar for Ford Ranger
Despite our incessant needling of the Blue Oval for refusing to send a Ranger Raptor to this country (and don’t get us started on the V8 Ranger Raptor rumors), Ford’s midsizer is admittedly a great entrant into the segment, one which looks good and can take on work or play with aplomb. However, that doesn’t stop us from eyeing a few aftermarket upgrades to the Gearbox.
This rear sway bar kit from Hellwig is a bolt on unit that will improve driver control on road and minimize body roll. It’s available for both 2WD and 4WD applications in either stock or lifted ride heights. Hellwig forges its 2019-20 Ranger Rear Sway Bars from solid 7/8-inch diameter heat-treated 4140 Chromoly steel bar stock and finishes them in its signature “Hammertone” powder coat to prevent corrosion and wear.

Lance Truck Bed Camper
We’re blowing the budget with these RV alternatives but, hey, what’s life without a little comfort? These truck bed campers rival some of the snazziest RVs in terms of their feature count, meaning you won’t have to sacrifice a good night’s sleep simply because you don’t want to haul around a tagalong trailer.
This 855S model was featured on the Lance Altimeter show truck that appeared at the SEMA show in Las Vegas last year. It’s equipped with ducted heat, all manner of entertainment options, and a full galley in which to whip up some trail vittles. Your eyes do not deceive you – just like big RVs, this truck bed camper has a power slide out section to open up even more interior space.
Polaris RZR Rockford Fosgate Audio
Sure, it’s always beneficial to splash a bit of money on mechanical upgrades to make sure your side-by-side can get in to (and out of) tricky spots. But what’s life without a bit of comfort and cool toys? Polaris has teamed up with Rockford Fosgate to provide a new audio experience to go along with one of their newest side-by-sides, the RZR PRO XP.
Rockford Fosgate engineered its first off-road tune, designed specifically for the PRO XP platform. It’s said to combat wind and engine noise to deliver pounding audio no matter the speed. Amps, off-road ready speakers, and even subwoofers all contribute to a sound once reserved for your home entertainment unit. Control the works of it through a Ride Command or PMX-2 head unit.
