The VX Series is also a direct replacement LED headlight for your Jeep, so you don’t have to worry about buying other equipment. Chrome or Black Chrome versions are available.
Promoted Product: XenonPro Headlight Conversion Kits
Why do away with your perfectly good, functional headlamp housings if you don’t need to? XenonPro’s headlight conversion kits earn their place among the best Jeep Wrangler LED headlights by packing outstanding LED performance into an affordable, easy-to-install package. Even the plugs and locking tabs are identical to the original equipment bulbs, so you can swap these in and get back on the trail in no time flat. From the moment you first turn them on, you’ll realize just how bright these LED conversion bulbs are; they’re rated for up to 9000 lumens, depending on which power level you select. And with their integrated drivers and turbo micro-fans, they’re incredibly effective at keeping cool, contributing to a service life of up to 45,000 hours. Installing in under 30 minutes and offering seven different color options, we think you’ll agree that these premium-built XenonPro headlight conversion bulbs are an excellent option.
2. Best OEM Replacement - Mopar LED Headlight Kit in Black
Made for the 2014 to 2016 Jeep Wrangler, these Mopar direct replacement LED headlights are a high-quality piece, albeit at a higher price than the other offerings on the market. But, you can bet the manufacturer’s own parts division stands behind their products, and that is the case with Mopar. These are sold in a pair and include plug & play installation capability. This is a projector-style headlight, ensuring extreme light penetration into the night. A die-cast aluminum housing and UV-resistance polycarbonate lens ensure long-lasting durability.
3. JW Speaker LED Headlights, Model 8700 Evolution J2 Series
Completely Made in the USA and regarded as one of the premium offerings in the Jeep LED headlight market with its projector optics, JW Speaker has several standout features with the 7” Jeep J2 Series of projector headlights, including Dual Burn beam optics, ComfortLite high beams, and even a hydro dipped carbon fiber bezel option. Dual Burn optics allow both the high and low beams to be used simultaneously for maximum visibility on the darkest backroads, and the ComfortLite feature fills in any gaps immediately in front of the vehicle, giving the light an even spread across the entire pattern. The anti-flicker device is also built into the JW Speaker light, so no external harness is required. The J2 Series is also DOT and Transport Canada approved and are some of the best Jeep Wrangler LED headlights anywhere.
4. Rigid Industries 7” Round LED Headlight
Rigid Industries has consistently been a top player in the LED lighting game, and their 7” Jeep Wrangler LED headlights keep the quality and features at a high level. These DOT compliant lights are made with a hard-coated polycarbonate lens and E-coated aluminum housing, both of which ensure these lights hold up to the water and mud you’d find on the trail. Metalized reflectors ensure that all of the light is directed clearly and effectively at a great distance. This light does lack a halo ring for that extra bling, but it makes up for this lack of features with a better price point and distinct look making it one of our best Jeep Wrangler LED headlights.
5. KC HiLiTES Gravity LED Jeep Headlights
KC HiLiTES is another lighting company that has been around for a while, over 45 years to be exact, and that long-standing presence in the lighting world has allowed them to produce many well-respected products, including this set of Gravity Jeep Wrangler LED headlights. Two versions of the 7” Gravity headlight are available – either a standard LED, non-projector model or the Gravity PRO LED project headlight. Each has a DRL function for daytime visibility, along with all of the connectors to make installation an easy task. Those of you looking for a unique look along with great performance should highly consider the Gravity Pro LED projector headlights. Plus, a 23-year warranty ensures that both of these lights are built to last.
Which is better? LED or HID headlights?
Honestly, they’re both great sources of light and they both have their advantages. Both lights are significantly brighter than traditional halogen headlights and have a longer lifetime as well. One disadvantage that HID lighting has compared to halogen and LED lights, is that HID lights require time for the lights to achieve peak brightness, which in some situations is less than desirable. LED lights are similar in that they are brighter than halogen lights, don’t require as much energy, last longer and achieve peak brightness almost immediately. The drawback here is that while the light itself isn’t hot, the housings can get hot.
What is this halo ring that I keep hearing about and what is the benefit of it?
This visual effect found in many newer or upgraded headlights was originally developed by BMW to give their cars a unique look. Since the trend has caught on, many OEM and aftermarket manufacturers started including this feature into their own headlight assemblies. Car makers have even started to utilize the halo in the headlights as their daytime running lamps.
