There is no shortage of accessories and modifications available for owners of off-road rigs, including the Jeep Wrangler decals shown here. From lift kits and winches to tonneau covers and beadlock wheels, the opportunity to make this rig stand out from the crowd is limited only by one’s imagination.
Those decals are arguably one of the easiest additions, save for tossing a set of fuzzy dice on the rear-view mirror. Many of these Jeep Wrangler decals are crafted from vinyl, though some will require a bit of cutting and creative placement to avoid looking as if they were applied by a toddler. Take your time, read the instructions, and you’ll create a smooth custom look.

1. Editors Choice: Bogar Tech Designs - Precut Side Fender Vent American Flag
Designed to fit snugly in the fender vents of a current model Wrangler or Gladiator, these decals are precisely pre-cut and can be applied without the likes of tools or special equipment. Or, it must be said, very much time. The seller says they are made of high-grade vinyl, noting they are of an inverted design for the driver and passenger side. This means the American flag will face different ways on each flank of your Jeep. It says that detailed instructions are included but the install is basically just sticking the thing evenly onto a clean surface.
2. Best Custom Option: Unique Graphix - Custom Vinyl Hood Decals with Military Lettering
What’s that? You say the enormous light bar and huge wheels on your rig aren’t drawing enough attention from the gendarmes? Then these Jeep Wrangler hood decals might be just the answer. Available in approximately one bazillion colors (actually 20), these lettering decals in military-style font are made to order. This means buyers can spell out any number of phrases or, yes, even their own name. Reviews are excellent, with many repeat customers saying they simply peel off the old decals and apply new ones when they want to change up the lettering on the Wrangler’s hood.
3. Most Stand Out Decal Kit: Factory Crafts - Nightmare Side Graphics Kit
Designed for a JK Wrangler Unlimited, this is a large graphics kit rather than a simple set of stickers. In fact, it very nearly borders on the immersion of an entire vehicle wrap since it shows up in the box as a 22-inch piece of vinyl. Available in different colors, the decal kit is made from durable 3M vinyl and has a five-year durability rating. Note that isn’t a warranty, per se, so be sure to take your time and follow the instructions during installation. The seller says this product is easily removable and will not leave behind residue or damage surfaces, though it’s never a bad idea to thoroughly clean the area after taking off a decal. As a bonus, it’s made in America.
3D American Flag Emblem Decal Cut-Out
Sticking with Old Glory for a moment, this American flag emblem is technically meant for any vehicle but its rectangular shape and military-esque look would make is a great fit on the flanks of a Jeep Wrangler. Each order includes two flag badges, one USA Regular Orientation and one USA Reverse Orientation, and measure 5 inches by 3 inches. Their cut-out design provides a vaguely 3D look, and their size would pair well with the badging that already exists on the front fenders of a Wrangler or Gladiator.
5. AlphaVinyl Hood Blackout Decal
Just because you’ve got an older Jeep doesn’t mean that we’ve forgotten about you. While you’d be hard pressed to find a full decal kit that isn’t custom made for older model Jeeps, this hood blackout decal is readily available for Jeep Wrangler YJs from 87-95. The hood blackout decal from AlphaVinyl is pre-cut and comes with everything you need to do a perfect, bubble free install.
How to remove decals from a Jeep Wrangler?
The best – and most often overlooked – advice for peeling old stickers off your ride is to thoroughly wash the car ahead of time. Even if you can’t see them, it’s likely there is dirt and fine particles of rock around the perimeter of a decal, meaning there’s a solid chance you’ll scratch the Jeep’s paint while removing the sticker. Get it clean, then use a heat source (like a hair dryer) to heat up the decal and peel it away. There are also speciality tools like the 3M ‘Stripe Off’ wheel. Once removed, get rid of the sticky residue with soap and water.
Where do you put flag decals on a Jeep Wrangler?
Not in your line of sight, that’s for sure. You’ll notice our list is devoid of stickers that consume an entire window, such as the ones that cover a full rear glass area. While the sellers of these products insist, they do not harm outward visibility thanks to the decal’s design (you can see out but others can’t really see in), it still represents placing an object between the driver and other motorists. Stick – pun intended – to placing them on side body panels or the surface of the Jeep’s hood.
