The summer season is in full swing and most of us are hitting the trails for some socially distant off-roading. Here are a few accessories and features that have caught our eye over the last couple of months.
Aeromotive Phantom High-Flow Fuel Pump
Partnering with Dirt Launch Powersports, Aeromotive has introduced a new direct drop-in fuel pump module for 2016-2020 Yamaha YXZ1000R side-by-sides. The Phantom Series fuel pump module is compatible with the factory plastic fuel tank and comes pre-assembled with an Aeromotive 200 liters-per-hour fuel pump.
The company says this pump is good for up to 450 horsepower, meaning only the gnarliest of desert racers will need something more stout than this unit. Offered as a complete kit that’s ready for installation, buyers will get the pump assembly, fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter, and required fittings. It’s covered by Aeromotive’s limited one-year warranty.
ARB Intensity Solis Lights
Being able to see in the dark is no longer solely the domain of cats and people huffing hallucinogens. These new Intensity Solis driving lights from the crew at ARB are available in a Spot or Flood beam which come with interchangeable red and black die-cast side bezels. New to the range is the Solis’ 5-stage dimmability function, very handy for situations where you don’t necessarily need a collapsed sun beaming from yer front bumper.
The inclusion of a highly tuned single-piece reflector and 165 watts of OSRAM LED performance are said to bring it to the top of the class in light output. A polycarbonate lens and lens cover are described as ‘virtually indestructible’ which sounds like a challenge to us. Be prepared to shell out just over 500 bucks for a pair of lights and the wiring loom.

It offers a convenient platform to track or schedule service for their powersports ride and, most notably, give owners an opportunity to schedule at-home service. Mopar Lift Kits for EcoDiesel Wrangler/Gladiator
Straight from the gearheads at Jeep, this lift kit will jack your oil burning Wrangler or Gladiator two inches skyward while providing an 18 percent increase in wheel articulation compared to stock. Larger 2.5-inch aluminum-body FOX monotube shock absorbers are half an inch over stock and specifically fettled for increased weight capacity, durability, and cooling during off-road conditions.
The kit’s springs are specifically tuned for a diesel-engine application, while longer front lower control arms (versus stock control arms) offer ideal caster settings. The kit’s unique heavy-duty bushings provide improved vehicle control and assist with suspension articulation. It’s a direct bolt-on kit requiring no drilling, cutting, or welding. For roughly $1500, you’ll get four springs, four FOX shocks, front lower control arms, stabilizer links, and bump stops. It’s all packaged in a custom, reusable wooden crate that’ll surely show up on eBay at some point.
