The Override Switch is compatible with the PowerStep, PowerStep XL, and the PowerStep XTreme, allowing the step to be manually raised or lowered. An easily installed toggle switch on the dash is wired directly to the PowerStep Controller.

Three distinct functions are programed with the Override Switch— override retract (up), automatic mode (middle), and override deploy (down). Override retract (up) keeps the step up and out of the way, regardless of what you do with the doors. Automatic mode (middle) allows the step to deploy and retract with the opening and closing of the door.
