Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif. (January, 2015) – General Motors has the small pickup truck essentially cornered in the US right now with its excellent Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon. These two workhorses stepped in to fill the void left by the Ford Ranger after it was discontinued in 2012. They are capable machines, but GM seemingly didn’t spend much time giving them a distinctive sound to match their sharp looks and MagnaFlow is here to fix that.
GM’s Canyon and Colorado pickups are respectable performers right off of the showroom floor. The base 2.5 liter Ecotec engine has plenty of power potential and the 3.6 liter LFX V6 makes an impressive 305hp in stock form, but as always, some power is left on the table in the name of cost and noise level.
The stainless steel MagnaFlow cat-back system is comprised of 3 inch diameter mandrel-bent tubing for maximum flow and is quieted by a 5” x 8” x 18” muffler, exhaust exits through 3.5” polished stainless tips. This system is fully 50-state legal and like all MagnaFlow exhausts, was developed in-house and dyno tuned to make power and torque. Also, like all MagnaFlow exhausts, this system gives the vehicle a smooth, deep tone with no annoying highway drone.
Additionally, all MagnaFlow exhaust systems come with a Lifetime Warranty, and each kit includes all the necessary hardware and components for a complete, bolt-on installation. MagnaFlow products are proudly made in the USA. For more information, visit www.magnaflow.com to find a dealer near you.
