The 2025 Ford Ranger has been named the North American Truck of the Year, marking the fifth consecutive year a Ford truck has earned the award. Selected by a panel of 50 automotive journalists from the U.S. and Canada, the award recognizes excellence in design, performance, technology, and value.

“Earning this recognition celebrates our team’s dedication to continuously raising the bar for midsize truck customers,” said Jim Baumbick, vice president of advanced product development, cycle plan, and programs. “We rigorously tested Ranger in challenging environments around the world to deliver the Built Ford Tough durability our customers demand. This award is a tribute to our customers who inspire us every day.”

The redesigned 2024 Ford Ranger offers midsize truck buyers updated features for both on- and off-road use. These include a standard 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine, an available 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6, and advanced driver-assist tools like Pro Trailer Backup Assist and Zone Lighting.

For those seeking additional off-road performance, the 2024 Ranger Raptor delivers 405 horsepower from a 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 and features FOX Live Valve shocks, long-travel suspension, and a Watts link rear setup, all tested in the demanding Baja 1000.
