Nissan truck fans can now spec a warrantied lift kit.
Just like your buddy and his girlfriend, Nissan and Rocky Ridge Trucks are making it official. Starting right now Titan and Titan XD pickups, Armada SUVs, and Frontier mid-sizers are now available to be purchased with Rocky Ridge packages through Nissan dealerships. This means that fans of the brand can now roll out of the showroom in a truck that’s fully equipped for the trail.
“Truck buyers are unique and so are their trucks. And while truck buyers are the most brand loyal automotive segment, consumers are willing to consider other brands if the product and value proposition is right,” said Fred DePerez, vice president, North America LCV Business Unit, Nissan North America, Inc. “We’ve found there remains great opportunity within the truck and enthusiast market.”
The man has a point. According to one survey, 39 percent of truck owners in America accessorize or modify their trucks in some way, a number that actually seems low to your author after a quick visual inspection of the pickups on his rural street. About half of all U.S. pickup truck owners identify as a gearhead or enthusiast and, while a separate study found that while truck buyers are the most brand loyal automotive segment, 80 percent consider more than one brand. Give the people what they want, then, or they’ll probably go somewhere else.
All Nissan Rocky Ridge packages start with custom suspension systems designed to stand tall without compromising the rig’s ride and handling characteristics. The Titan and Titan XD packages include 6.0-inch suspension lift kits, while Armada and Frontier feature 3.0-inch and 2.5-inch lift kits, respectively. All packages also include custom wheels and off-road performance tires selected specially for each model.
Predictably, these packages are able to be bundled in with a new truck’s purchase price, meaning customers can finance them over the term of a note. In addition to padding Nissan’s average transaction price, it’ll also increase the amount of interest gathered by the captive finance arm.
