Ram has announced a starting price for its new heavy-duty pickups.

Freshly renewed for 2019, the Ram HD pickup will have a base sticker price of $33,395. That number will get you into a 2500 Tradesman Regular Cab 4×2 model, plus a destination charge of $1695, natch. The old Ram HD trucks start at $33,045 minus whatever money is on the hood from incentives. We are pleased to see the destination charge remain unchanged from 2018.

At the top of Ram’s HD food chain, a 3500 Limited Mega Cab 4×4 with the enormous 12-inch Uconnect touchscreen will hoover $67,050 plus destination fees from your bank account. Pricing of these models reflect the standard 6.4-liter Hemi V8 with its new 8-speed automatic transmission.

Diesel fans should know the 6.7-liter Cummins Turbo Diesel with 6-speed automatic transmission is now a $9100 option. This mill shows up as the standard output engine. Meanwhile, the High Output Cummins (3500 only) and its headline-grabbing 1000lb.-ft. of torque will cost $11,795. It is mated to the Aisin 6-speed transmission.

Examples of popular models that fall somewhere in the middle of Ram’s range include the 2500 Laramie Crew Cab 4×4 short box at an MSRP of $52,000 even. According the build-and-price tool at RamTrucks.com, that same machine stickers for $51,745 less the inevitable incentivizing programs which are currently in excess of $8000 in some markets. By and large, sticker pricing for the 2019 Ram HD is not much of a walk from the old model.

2019 Ram Heavy Duty Laramie Longhorn

“In launching the new 2019 Ram Heavy Duty pickups and Chassis Cab trucks, we knew it was important to offer class-leading capability, features and technology. But it’s also important to offer our great products at a competitive price,” said Reid Bigland, Head of Ram Truck Brand at FCA.

The new 2019 Ram Chassis Cab commercial trucks also recently made their debut at the Chicago Auto Show earlier this month. This lineup will have a starting MSRP of $34,750 plus the familiar $1695 destination fee.

Prices of individual options have not been released, leaving us to speculate on how much cheddar they will add to the bottom line. It is worth noting the standard-output Cummins and six-speed automatic is an $8800 option in 2018. Keep that in mind when pricing your new set of wheels. Base prices may be similar but an extra few bucks added to each option package could quickly pad the total price.

Speaking of, the Ram website does not show a build-and-price tool for the 2019 HD trucks as of this writing. Expect it to go live before the trucks show up on dealer lots later this year.
