Just when you thought the Roxor couldn’t get any cooler.
How do you make the Mahindra Roxor, a pint-sized off-road brute with a diesel engine and five-speed manual transmission even better? Why fit a set of tracks to it, of course.
A company in the States that focuses on making dirt bikes street legal has adapted a set of Matttracks to work on a Mahindra. Using the 65M1-A1 set which splits the difference between automotive-based kits and the ATV-based Litefoot lineup, Dirt Legal has created one of the coolest looking off-roaders since the Jimny showed up overseas.
The tracks aren’t the only items Dirt Legal has on offer for the Mahindra machine. Their catalog also lists the likes of steel front bumpers, front Warn manual hubs, and various skid plates. They’ve also got levelling kits, windshield wipers, and all manner of lighting.
Interestingly, the company also lists an Auburn differential for the Roxor and – praise the pharaohs – an all-important diff locker. The addition of that last item all by itself will make the thing many leagues more capable than stock units.
Dig deep if you want a set of track, of course. Dirt Legal lists a price of $55,000 on their website. The looks drivers will get from their buddies when they haul up in this thing might just be worth it, though.
The Roxor has a 2.5-liter inline-four turbodiesel making 62 horsepower and 144lb.-ft of torque, driving the 3035-pound ROXOR to a top speed of 45 mph. For an opening bid of $15,499, buyers net a machine bearing a rough-n-ready fully boxed frame that can tow 3490lbs. While all this kit may give the Roxor an on-road appearance, it remains strictly an off-road rig.
Where would you take your awesome track-equipped Roxor?
