The bright lights under the big top in Scottsdale generally shine on some of the world’s rarest classic and collector cars when the action gets underway at Barrett-Jackson’s annual Scottsdale soirée. Around here, we’re primarily interested in machines with a pickup bed. The docket for January’s sale doesn’t disappoint.

1955 Dodge Power Wagon Pickup

This 1955 Dodge C4PW Power Wagon pickup is fully equipped with its original 4-wheel drive, 7,000-pound Braden winch and numerous other accessories. It was frame-off restored approximately 10 years ago.

1968 Chevrolet C10 4X4

This rotisserie restored 1968 Chevrolet 4×4 Resto-Mod pickup is powered by a fresh 454ci V8 big-block engine. It has Fox 2.0 series shocks and Ballistic steering plus 20” Moto Metal billet-forged wheels and 37” Toyo Open Country MT tires.

1957 Chevrolet 3100 Custom

Loaded with custom features, this 1957 Chevrolet half-ton short-bed is powered by a mildly built, street-friendly 454ci big-block engine backed by a 700R4 automatic transmission with overdrive and a late-model transfer case. The suspension consist of ¾-ton axles with new Warn hubs, Tuff Country springs, and a 6-inch lift.

1969 Ford Bronco Pickup

This rust-free half-cab Bronco was recently refinished in Sunrise Orange Metallic with Polar White trim. It features a black bucket seat interior, electric wipers, and is powered by a 3.3-liter 6-cylinder engine mated to a 3-speed manual transmission. This genuine half-cab is one of 2,317 produced in 1969 and has an uncut body.

1962 Studebaker Champ

This 1962 Studebaker Champ 3/4-ton pickup has a factory side-mount spare tire and custom wheels that your author would swap out immediately. It’s finished in metallic blue and is powered by a 289ci engine mated to a 4-on-the-floor manual transmission.

1986 Chevrolet Silverado

This 1986 Chevrolet Silverado features a new lift kit and sits on 35-inch BFGoodrich tires. This pickup is powered by a new GM 350ci 8-cylinder crate engine mated to an automatic transmission with overdrive.

1951 Chevrolet 3800 Custom Panel Truck

The total frame-off restoration on this custom one-ton panel truck was completed about 10 years ago. The original inline-6 engine was replaced with a Jobmaster 261ci that was used in two-ton trucks. It has the original 4-speed manual transmission, the year-correct foot starter pedal, the two-lever transfer case and a driveshaft emergency brake.

1972 Ford F-100

This 1972 Ford F-100 Ranger XLT short-bed pickup is powered by a rebuilt 390ci FE engine with Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, an Edelbrock 2106 Camshaft and a 7106 cam and lifter kit.
