The Mopar division of FCA will have one of the biggest displays at the 2018 SEMA Show in Las Vegas and have previewed two the Mopar-modified machines that will be on display.

Mopar is bringing a pair of new Ram 1500 pickups – one of which has been lowered and another that has been lifted – showing the versatility of the half-ton truck.

“The SEMA Show is truly the greatest stage for our brand to demonstrate what owners and enthusiasts can create with a little imagination and a selection of Mopar parts and accessories,” said Steve Beahm, Head of Parts & Service (Mopar) and Passenger Car Brands, FCA – North America. “There is a method to our SEMA madness — we use this show as a venue to gauge enthusiast interest in prototype parts that may become production offerings in the future.”

While there may be other Ram trucks in the Mopar display at SEMA, the company has already shown off two of them – a lowered Ram 1500 Big Horn and a lifted Ram 1500 Rebel.

Mopar-modified Ram 1500 Rebel Concept

Mopar is reinforcing the street and off-road personalities of the popular Ram 1500 with two unique concepts that will be featured in the brand’s exhibit at the 2018 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show, scheduled for October 30 – November 2 in Las Vegas. First up is the Ram 1500 Rebel Concept. This half-ton truck has been fitted with an array of items currently offered by Mopar, including beadlock wheels wrapped in 35-inch off-road rubber, aluminum running boards, off-road fog lights, wheel flares, skid plates, five-inch exhaust tips, and door sill plates.

Next, Mopar added some concept items, such as the unique hood with the front scoop inlet, the “Ram Bar” in the bed with an in-bed tire carrier, silver gas and brake pedals, and the distinct Rebel graphics on the bedside – which aren’t available now, but these graphics are coming to the Mopar catalog soon.

Mopar pulled from its palette of more than 200 parts and accessories for the all-new Ram 1500 and also bolted on select concept products to create the off-road ready Mopar-modified Ram 1500 Rebel Concept.

Under the concept’s hood sits a 5.7-liter Hemi topped with the new Ram AirFlow cold air intake system, which is said to add more power, but we don’t know how much.

Ram 1500 Big Horn “Low Down” Concept

The Ram 1500 Big Horn “Low Down” Concept, one of two modified Ram 1500 trucks that will be featured in the Mopar exhibit at the 2018 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show scheduled for October 30 – November 2 in Las Vegas, features slammed-to-the-street style and unique, clean exterior flourishes.

Next, is the Low Down Concept, which is based on the 2019 Ram 1500 Big Horn. While the RebelConcept is obviously built to perform off-road, the Low Down is a street truck.

Like the Rebel, the Low Down has the concept sport hood, Ram AirFlow cold air intake on the 5.7-liter Hemi, along with the door sill plates and concept silver pedals.
