Deep-pocketed fans of the Jeep brand will have a shot to bid on this custom Wrangler at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Las Vegas.
This wild custom Jeep was built by EG Industries as a standalone project, meaning its owner will find it highly unlikely to see their mirror image on the trail or at a stoplight. It’s a brand-new 2018 Wrangler JK with just 15 actual miles. The powertrain remains stock, featuring the familiar Pentastar 3.6-liter V6 backed by 6-speed automatic. Beyond that, though, there’s little remaining of what rolled out of the factory in Toledo.
Equipped with Dana front and rear axles, this custom Jeep comes with a quartet of armored netted cargo doors, a removable hardtop, and a netted cargo top. The factory doors are included for the times you don’t feel like tooling around with the armored nets.
It sits on a Teraflex 4-inch lift kit with custom Fuel wheels painted white – naturally – and wrapped in Toyo M/T Open Country tires measuring a bro-tastic 37.5-inches. Fox shocks are underneath, while a WARN 8000-pound winch hangs off the front. Not helping off-road but surely cranking up its street cred is an LED lighting system shining its rays into the interior, engine compartment, and inner fender. And, yes, you can control those lights with an app on a smartphone.
Whoever makes the final bid on this Wrangler at the Barrett-Jackson soirée in Vegas will be wakin’ up the neighbors thanks to a MagnaFlow custom exhaust.
Inside, passengers are treated to custom premium leather front and rear seats with a quilted texture, power accessories, and factory air conditioning. Adding weight but also a dose of kit is a banging aftermarket sound system that includes a Pioneer touchscreen head unit, 1380-watt amps, Alpine speakers, and Rockford 12-inch subwoofer that should punch out enough bass to set off more than a few car alarms. Also included in the infotainment tech are a backup camera, nav system, satellite radio, and Bluetooth connectivity.
EG Industries builds all their Jeeps in-house at their own 11,000 square-foot facility. The Barrett-Jackson auction in Vegas takes place September 27-29.
