Polaris has revealed its latest in six-passenger utility side-by-sides, the new Ranger Crew XP 1000.

It brings all of the upgrades that came with the Ranger 1000 XP to the six-seat model, which means an 82-horsepower engine provides power, ground clearance has been improved to 13 inches and the maximum tow rating has also been boosted to 2,500 pounds. Suspension travel is up to 11 inches to help the Crew eat up the rough stuff and the new tires are 27-inch six-ply units. Full body skid plates are standard underneath.

The big deal here is the ability to carry so many passengers, and Polaris says that its new Crew XP can handle 1,750-pounds of cargo in total. That’s nearly enough to handle six 300-pound humans, or six 200-pound humans and 550 pounds of stuff.

Thicker seat cushions will be appreciated by all the riders in the Crew XP 1000, while an additional five inches of clearance thanks to a taller cage and lower floor make getting in and out of the Ranger Crew easier as well. Both the front and rear seat in the Crew flip up to reveal more storage areas while a pass-through from front to rear helps when toting longer items.

And for those who want to stay cool in the summer or hot in the winter, the Northstar HVAC Edition brings along a sealed cab with full heating or cooling capabilities.

The new Ranger XP Crew 1000 will be available in Sage Green, Sunset Red Metallic and Polaris Pursuit Camo. Starting price for the new Crew model is pegged at $16,299 US and $19,999 CAN.
