This is the closest that most of us will ever get to riding along with a professional off-road racer, and this footage shows just how tough desert racing can be.
This footage comes from the #35 Trick Truck of Jason Voss, who ended up qualifying for the Mint 400 in 32nd place after being assessed a penalty, bringing his time to 00:04:56.761. The video embedded below also offers a snapshot of what the Mint 400 will look like this year, and it looks gnarly.

Harley Letner will lead the race when it kicks of around noon on Saturday, March 10 in his Class 1500 buggy. Letner will take off alone, while all the other racers will line up side-by-side and set out next to each other.
