Jeep has pulled the wraps off of the new 2019 Jeep Cherokee ahead of an official debut at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit next month.
The new Cherokee has ditched the squinty headlights of the outgoing model in favor of a set of more traditional illuminators. The rear also gets a minor revision in the way of a more premium-looking rear fascia and different taillights.

Jeep’s keeping the details scarce until Detroit, but thanks to our intrepid reporting we already know the new Cherokee will have Fiat Chrysler’s latest 2.0-liter turbocharged engine on offer, which makes 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque in other applications. The 2.4-liter four-cylinder will return for lesser models making the same 184 horsepower and 171 lb-ft.
The 2019 Cherokee will make its official debut on January 16, 2017, so stay tuned for more info.
