The 31-year old woman was part of the support team of the number 563 team of Marco Gomez.

The Mexican Federales investigated the incident and impounded the Trophy Truck that was involved.
Race mile 151 was especially unlucky during the 2017 Baja 1000. Hours after the Trophy Truck accident occurred, two vehicles collided causing one of them to roll over, just 100 feet away from where the original accident happened. And in the aftermath of those two incidents, a fan had a seizure on site.
We’re not sure what is at race mile 151 that made it so damning this year. From the aerial maps, it appears to be a piece of flat lake bed that runs in front of El Chinero Mountain.
