The stage is set for the longest off-road race in the United States with today’s qualifying for Saturday’s Best In The Desert Vegas to Reno race.

64 Trick Trucks and unlimited buggies lined up near Apex, Nevada just outside the city limits of Las Vegas to take their chances on a rock infested, whooped out, silt laden 4-mile course to nab the pole position.

Grabbing the number one spot for the start line was Las Vegas local Rob MacCachren followed closely by another Las Vegan, Bryce Menzies.

Clearly, the course favored those with intimate knowledge of the terrain but that didn’t stop three time Vegas to Reno winner Jason Voss from putting his Trick Truck in third to round out the top three.

Tim and Troy Herbst took 4th and 6th respectively with Kyle Jergensen right in the middle with 5th. Rounding out the rest of the top ten was Justin Matney, Todd Pedersen, Brett Sourapas and Anthony Terzo.
