SALT LAKE CITY – TORC: The Off-Road Championship has announced new dates for Rounds 1 & 2 at The Dirt Oval at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, IL, just one hour from downtown Chicago. The May 13-14, Chicagoland Slam doubleheader will kick off the 2017 national championship season with an action packed weekend of the best short course racing to hit the dirt.
The TORC Chicagoland Slam weekend will feature pro racing in four classes: the powerful, four-wheel drive PRO 4 trucks, the new format of highly competitive PRO 2 trucks, the fiercely competitive PRO Lights, and both of the track mobbing-PRO UTV categories. Sportsman classes will also be getting in on the action.
The complete TORC experience extends beyond the races with open pit access for fans and future racers of all ages—giving people the opportunity to get up close to the PRO 4, PRO 2, PRO Light and PRO UTV machines while meeting the drivers. Fans have the opportunity to get on the track for a post-race track walk to collect race debris from their favorite trucks. Spectators can also shake hands and meet TORC drivers at the official autograph sessions after each race.
