With the spectacular growing popularity of the Class 6100 Spec Engine Trick Trucks, Best In The Desert recognized the need for an equivalent class for open-wheeled race vehicles. This new class will allow owners of older or newer unlimited Class 1500 compliant cars to run in an extremely competitive class without being faced with the expense of having to maintain a very high cost unlimited engine.
The new Class 6200 has been in development by Best In The Desert for over a year and represents a concentrated effort to move forward in technology when considering new race vehicle classifications.
With the exception of the Spec Engines, Class 6200 is an unlimited open-wheeled car, much the same as Class 1500. Vehicle chassis will be permitted to have unlimited suspension design and travel, but must utilize independent rear suspensions only. No solid rear axle suspensions are allowed. Also, tires are limited to a 37-inch maximum size.
