Next week at the 2017 North American International Auto Show, Ram Truck will introduce a special edition of the Ram 1500 Rebel, which it calls the Rebel Black. We were given a sneak peak at the new truck ahead of its formal debut next week.
The Ram Rebel Black special edition is based on the Ram Rebel (33-inch tires, 1-inch factory lift. Bilstein shocks, skid plates, etc.) but it features dark features in its design. So the Rebel Black will be offered in all of the same colors as the Rebel, but it adds black wheels, a black brush guard and all-black interior.
“Adding the Rebel Black package to an already aggressive off-road truck will continue feeding the momentum Rebel is creating for the Ram Truck brand,” said Mike Manley, Head of Jeep Brand and Ram Brand, FCA – Global. “The Ram Rebel is unique in the full-size truck segment with 33-inch off-road tires, air suspension and custom interior details.”
The Rebel Black will also feature other black cues on the interior, such as black anodized bezels on the doors, center console, instrument panel and gauge cluster trim rings. The all-black heated seats will feature black “Rebel” embroidery, while Light Slate Gray accent stitching is featured on the seats, the instrument panel, center console lid, doors and seats.
The Ram 1500 Rebel Black special edition is available in crew cab with either the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 or 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6. Pricing will start at $45,590 plus $1,320 destination, and expect Rebel Black models to arrive in dealerships this March.
