As we saw with the mustached Jeep Wrangler at the LA Auto Show last week, Jeep is clearly getting into Movember. For those not familiar, Movember, appropriately in the month of November, is an annual event looking to draw attention to early cancer detection, diagnosis and treatment for men. Guys grow out mustaches to draw attention to the cause and look to generate money to help cancer organizations.
According to a recent story on FCA360 for Jeep, “The hairy tale dates back to 2003 when two mates in Australia tried to bring back the moustache. 30 men were willing to take up the challenge. From there it began to grow (no pun intended), and eventually became the international movement we celebrate today.”

Jeep is getting into by supporting the Movember Foundation with its ‘grow a mo, show a mo,’ which will help raise money for the cause and also give a fan a 2016 Jeep!
“We’re encouraging our fans, followers and owners across the globe to ‘Grow a Mo, Show a Mo’ by purchasing one of our Jeep ‘Stache by Carstache accessories to affix to their vehicle,” said Mike Manley, Head of Jeep Brand and Ram Brand, FCA – Global. “We’re also giving consumers the opportunity to help raise funds and awareness by posting photos with their ‘stache on Twitter and Instagram, in addition to a social contest that will give one lucky fan the chance to win a new 2016 Jeep vehicle.”
In order to enter and help support the cause, fans must post a photo on Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #JeepStacheContest from now until Wednesday, November 30. Jeep says submissions will be evaluated on creativity, originality and quality of submission, as well as how the photos fit the Movember theme.
Every time you tweet, post or share, the Jeep brand will donate $1 to the Movember Foundation (up to $15,000)
Jeep says fans can also get their hands on the exclusive Jeep ‘Stache by Carstache accessory moustache at http://www.jeep.com/movember/index.html and in dealerships across the country, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting the Movember Foundation.
One in seven men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. (Symbolically, the prominent seven-slotted Jeep Wrangler grille design is used to represent the statistic, with one of the seven painted white). Since 2003, the Movember Foundation has raised more than $710 million and funding more than 1,200 breakthrough men’s health programs in 21 countries for prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. So grow a ‘stache, it’s not too late!
