DETROIT, (November 21, 2016) – Brembo, the world leader and acknowledged innovator of brake technology for automotive vehicles was the stopping force for Rob MacCachren’s Rock Star Energy Ford F150 Trophy Truck as the overall winner of the 49th running of the SCORE International Baja 1000 this morning.
At 3:30 a.m. PT Sunday morning, MacCachren applied his Brembo brakes on the podium in Ensenada, Mexico as the Baja 1000 overall race champion proclaiming, “Align yourself with the right people and maybe you’ll win the Baja 1000 three consecutive times!”

Brembo brakes were featured on 17 of the 30 competitors in the Trophy Truck Class for this year’s 1000-mile race including pole sitter Kyle LeDuc and second place qualifier Ricky Johnson. The top eight Trophy Truck finishers all ran Brembo brakes on their trucks.
The 277 competitors started the 1000-mile run at 6 a.m. PT on Friday for the motorcycle/quad classes followed by the start of the car/truck/UTV classes at 10:30 a.m. PT. MacCachren covered the course in just under 17 hours.
MacCachren’s Ford F150 featured Brembo’s 6-piston monobloc calipers and the company’s brake pads and 355mm brake rotors.
