Skyjacker and Matchbox partnered on a cool build for this year’s SEMA Show using the new Ford Super Duty F350 as the platform for this Police-inspired tactical truck. Although there’s only one of these trucks currently in existence, Matchbox has actually created a replica version of the 4×4 to commemorate the build.
This F350 truck is built to be a fully functioning police and tactical vehicle, featuring an A.R.E. Z-series camper shell that features a large pull-out Bedslide and TruckVault to safely and securely store tactical gear. The F350, called the MBX350, is built on a new F-350 Super Duty XL Crew Cab and is powered by a 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbo-diesel V8 that is mated to a Torqshift six-speed automatic transmission. A MagnaFlow performance exhaust was added as well to improve performance.
As for its enhanced off-road properties, Skyjacker added its 8.5-inch four-link lift kit, which features its new LeDuc series coilover front shocks, M95 rear shocks and a silver dual-steering stabilizer. The 20-inch American Force Wheels feature a level-faceplate custom powder coat and engraving, and they are mounted with massive 40-inch Nitto tires.
For the styling and exterior enhancements, a Fab Fours premium front and rear bumper are used. Up top, a 72-inch roof rack adds space for lugging around more gear. A Whelen Engineering legacy 54-inch super LED lightbar provides additional illumination with its legacy lights in blue with siren, police scanner and radio completing the package. Additional lighting comes in the form of Rigid Industries 30-inch and 50-inch radiance blue back-lit lights and rock lights in blue. Additional upgrades includes a Warn Zeon 12S winch, Bedslide 1000 truck bed slide and guard rails, Bushwacker pocket-style fender flares, and Ford Accessories 5-inch black side steps help get everyone in and out of the vehicle.
Inside, Katzkin two-tone Tuscany insert leather seats with blue stitching and embroidery give the F350 a law enforcement-inspired feel as well. There’s also a Lund Industries police console with armrest, sidecar and swivel-arm laptop mount. An sPOD eight-circuit touch screen power distribution and switch controls helps control all the additional axially upgrades, and a Magellan eXplorist TRX7 off-road GPS navigation will help the driver get to the right place. And since it’s a tactical truck, 5.11 tactical breaching tools and tactical equipment are also outfitted on the MBX350, along with a TruckVault in the A.R.E. camper to secure weaponry or important gear.
