Mickey Thompson held a press conference today at the 2016 SEMA Show to formally unveil its new logo and also highlight some new product coming down the pipe. Aside from the new logo, one of the most noteworthy news items is the expansion of the Deegan 38 line with the addition of the new Deegan 38 A/T all-terrain tire.
The new Deegan 38 A/T tire will be available early next year, offering 29 different sizes for 15- to 20-inch wheel sizes, with LT metric sizes offered as well. The tire was developed in conjunction with Brian Deegan to offer a mass-appeal off-road tire that will cater to both the truck and SUV market.
“The Deegan 38 A/T is the perfect addition to the Deegan 38 lineup,” said Ken Warner, Vice President of Marketing for Mickey Thompson. “From the tread compound to the SideBiter design, we’ve given attention to every detail to make this one of the most impressive all-terrain tires we offer.”
Mickey Thompson says the Deegan 38 A/T is constructed with s a silica-reinforced compound for ideal grip both on and off road and “superior” cut and chip resistance. The tread itself also features a unique siping for additional traction. The tread also features tread-edge chamfers and variable draft angles to help reduce stone retention, while tie bars are employed to enhance stability and responsive handling. Angled shoulder scallops and aggressive two-pitch SideBiter’s enhance traction for the sidewalls as well.
Best of all, Mickey Thompson says the new Deegan 38 A/T line will include Mickey Thompson’s 55,000-mile Limited Tread Wear Warranty. For more information, head over to MickeyThompsonTires.com.
