For the first time, Nissan is offering a new “Texas Titan” package for its 2017 Titan trucks. The new package will feature unique, customized features that set it apart from the rest of the lineup, and it will be available on two Titan grades and four Titan XD models (in both 4×4 and 4×2).
The addition of the Texas-themed appearance package is part of the ongoing expansion of the Nissan full-size pickup lineup as it enters its second year of production. Nissan says that once the complete rollout of its Titan line is complete (meaning every cab and power train grade level is available), the Titan truck line will cover about 85 percent of the total light pickup marketplace.
The 2017 Texas Titan will cater to the Texas truck lover by including chrome inner and outer grille finish, 20-inch chrome aluminum-alloy wheels, metallic-finish kick plates, Texas Titan floor mats, Chrome exhaust tips, and of course Texas Titan badging.
“Titan XD was named ‘Texas Truck of the Year’ last fall by the Texas Auto Writers Association so it’s fitting to acknowledge the Lone Star State with this special vehicle,” said Fred Diaz, division vice president and general manager, North America Trucks and Light Commercial Vehicles, Nissan North America, Inc. “For native Texans like myself, the Texas Titan is the perfect representation of Texas attitude – big horsepower, big torque, huge capabilities.”
Every Texas Titan comes with what Nissan has hailed as “America’s Best Truck Warranty,” as it provides unrivaled bumper-to-bumper coverage for 5-years/100,000-miles, whichever comes first. The warranty is available on every 2017 Titan and Titan XD.
