Casey commented, “I’m excited on the new build, we have put a lot of time and effort into the new Jeep. I’m sure we will have our bugs to fine tune, but we have taken a proven template from the Hammers-style racing and added a Trophy Truck twist.”
In addition to the desert racing program Magpul and Casey will continue to push forward on the Jeep side of the partnership going to all the large Jeep events with the Magpul Jeep.
The racing teams use of Magpul apparel will also be the first exposure for many in the off-road racing world to these new product categories from the Brand. The shorts, pants and shirts from Magpul that the team will be using will provide a level of comfort, durability, performance that allow them to focus on racing.
“We couldn’t be more excited to participate in Casey’s push into the highest level of desert racing. The idea of taking on some of the worlds toughest races with a new technology race vehicle is exactly the kind challenge we can get behind,” said Troy McMullen from Magpul’s offices in Austin, TX.
The truck will be debuting at the SCORE Baja 1000 Qualifying session during the SEMA show at the Las Vegas Speedway. Then, just over a week later, the first event for Casey’s Magpul Trophy Truck Jeep will be the 48th annual, 2016 Baja 1000. It will be run between November 16-20, 2016.
