Coming August 16, Can-Am will fill us in on what the company has been busy building. Here’s a clue: it’s called the Maverick X3, and you can actually check out the first teaser of the new model below.

As Can-Am hails, “Light will shine from darkness on August 16, get out of the way,” which makes sense when you check out the teaser video below. Can-Am has actually set up a registration site for the new Maverick X3 model, which provides access to exclusive images and will house all four teaser videos that will launch in the coming few weeks (in fact, the next teaser will be available soon).

Not much is known about this new side-by-side from Can-Am, but it sounds like it’s a monster. Ginormous new triple-cylinder engine? Turbo? Supercharger? We have no idea, but the black-cloak and mystery surrounding the new rig is making us excited to see exactly what Can-Am has been cooking. Can-Am proclaims on the first teaser page of Maverick X3 on YouTube, “We wanted to go a lot faster, everywhere—and so should you.”
