More than 100 ULTRA4 cars are expected to return to Glen Helen Raceway for the 6th Annual 4 Wheel Parts Glen Helen Grand Prix. This will be the second race of the 2016 ULTRA4 Trail-gear Western Regional Series. Many of the cars expected to compete also raced in the 2016 Nitto King of The Hammers presented by 4 Wheel Parts. ULTRA4 drivers are competing for a $10,000 purse.
Top drivers are expected to be in attendance including former Kings of The Hammers. Drivers are not only racing for podium positions but also points towards the Nitto National Championship.
The format for the Southern California race combines Glen Helen’s short course track, motocross track and enduro tracks for a grueling grand prix style format. The race is timed and the driver with the most laps in a given timeframe will be declared the winner.
Spectators will have amazing views of the course as they watch drivers compete head to head with as many as 40+ cars on the track at once.
The top 10 finishers not already qualified for KOH 2017 will earn qualifying spots at this and each regional event this year!
Classes: All classes will be racing, ULTRA4 (4400) Stock (4600), Modified (4500), Legends (4800), UTV (running as one class this year!) and 4400s are all welcome. Registration Deadline is June 1st. Payments made after June 1st will be subject to $100 late fee.
Entry Fee: Cost to attend is $20 per person for the weekend, including Drivers and co-drivers. This covers cost to camp on site. Kids 12 and under are free. Dry Camping is free to all.
Pit Bands: Pit bands will be a $5 upgrade from a spectator band. Total cost for entry is $25. If teams wish to pre-pay for spectator bands, they may do so, and then they will need to upgrade to a $5 pit band when teams sign for the band.
Pit Parking: Pit parking is first come/first serve as it has been in prior years. We ask teams to work together to make sure that everyone gets space on the main road. Someone will be on site to direct you into the pits.
Camping/Lodging: Teams and drivers are strongly encouraged to camp on site. The facility is locked each night. Camping is free of charge with admission into the park. The closest hotels we would recommend are near the Ontario Airport and traffic between Glen Helen and Ontario can be an hour or more.
