— TORC: The Off-Road Championship is returning to FS2 in 2016 with wall-to-wall coverage of exciting PRO Light, PRO 2WD, and PRO 4WD racing. A full slate of 14 broadcasts will bring viewers 90 minutes of championship competition Thursday nights during primetime.

“We are pleased to welcome TORC back to the FOX Sports family in 2016 and with more in-depth access to the action and drivers than ever before,” said Josh Oakley, Executive Director, Programming and Acquisitions, FOX Sports. “TORC’s short-course, off-road racing meshes perfectly with FOX Sports’ action and motor sports properties, and we’re looking forward to showcasing the championship battle to our viewers all season long.”

Championship action will anchor the broadcasts, bringing audiences the best of the hard-hitting, high-flying truck racing from the series. New for 2016 is an extended, 90-minute format that will bring viewers behind the scenes for an all-access look at the series and its compelling personalities as the best drivers on dirt battle for the 2016 championship crown.

“We’re going to get closer to this series than ever before,” said Adam Comey, Executive Producer of TORC. “We’ve got new camera angles, insider access, and the best reporting team on television.”

Some 20.5 hours of comprehensive coverage is planned in 2016, with the first episode of the season set to air June 9. Sharing the 2016 broadcast booth will be Robbie Floyd, along with decorated racer Ricky Johnson offering in-depth analysis and commentary. Kate Osborne will report from the pits.

“We are excited to be back on Fox Sports for the 2016 season with a regular primetime airing. Fox Sports is a home to some of the best motorsports programming and we are happy to have TORC as part of the lineup.” said Comey. “Increasing the programming to 90 minutes will allow us to cover every minute of pro racing at each stop as well as unique behind the scenes, track details, and driver profiles. We are looking forward to an exciting year of racing.”

The TORC Series joins several action entertainment properties on FS2 including UFC, and motocross. Redistribution is planned across FOX Sports Regional networks including Wisconsin, North, Detroit, Ohio, Carolinas, South, Florida, Southwest, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Arizona, West, and San Diego among others. TORC Series coverage will air on FOX Sports Regional networks between October and December.

An expansion of the series’ digital coverage is also planned, with details expected in the days ahead.
