PICKERINGTON, Ohio — The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation’s Ride for Kids program is now an American Motorcyclist Association Affiliate Partner, bringing new benefits to the program and strengthening the bond between the organizations, the AMA announced today.

The AMA has sanctioned hundreds of Ride for Kids events since 1984. The charitable nonprofit conducts dozens of motorcycling events across the country each year, raising tens of millions of dollars for childhood brain tumor research and family support programs. The 2016 fundraising goal is $2.76 million.

As an AMA Affiliate Partner, the foundation receives a $5 donation for each new AMA membership and $2.50 for each renewal for members using the code PEBRTU. The AMA will alert its members via email about Ride for Kids events, and Ride for Kids will have a booth at AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days in Lexington, Ohio, July 8-10.

“The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and Ride for Kids are terrific ambassadors for the sport of motorcycling, and we’re delighted to announce our expanded partnership during Brain Tumor Awareness Month,” said Jeff Massey, AMA chief operations officer. “We look forward to connecting them with even more supporters around the country to help cure the kids.”

The AMA will now be recognized as a Ride for Kids partner on event promotional materials, and the membership donation benefit will be shared in Ride for Kids emails and social media posts.
