CRANDON, WISC. – Right now, all of Crandon International’s nearly 2,000 campsites are in hibernation, waiting for the spring thaw and the rebirth of acres of rich green Wisconsin grass. However, next week legions of Midwest off-road racing fans can book their promise of warm summer weekends as the facility opens up camping and ticket reservations for the 2016 season. Crandon will open online reservations at its website on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at precisely 9:00a.m. Central Standard Time for both the Brush Run 101 races (June 24-26) and the Off-Road World Championships (September 2-4).

Short course off-road racing’s largest purpose-built track is surrounded by 2,000 official camping spots, with more in the way. Continuing its heritage of constant growth and improvement, Crandon officials have also announced plans to add another 500 camping spots on the 400-acre facility in time for the Labor Day World Championships weekend. In addition, guests will also have access to another 72 Main Spectator Camp sites outfitted with electricity.

For 47 years, the sport’s fastest racers and up to 45,000-plus fans have converged on the small Northwoods town of Crandon to events one journalist recently dubbed as “A Wisconsin Woodstock of Gearheads.” Thousands of the Crandon faithful have made their visits to this beautiful part of the state’s Northwoods an annual rite of summer. Like the legendary Indianapolis 500 or 24 Hours of Sebring, overnight camping spread over several days of racing is as important to the overall “Crandon experience” as the intense on-track action itself.

In the past several years, nearly all of the camping sites have sold out well in advance for the huge Labor Day weekend “World Championships and Amsoil Cup” race in September, while June’s Forest County Potawatomi “Brush Run” weekend has seen a sharp rise in popularity. Both race weekends feature professional short-course racing via The Off Road Championship (TORC) series, as well as a wide variety of Crandon Sportsman classes.

In 2016, track management has introduced several new packages to allow fans the chance to claim their selected piece of Crandon camping real estate for the two largest events of the summer season. These packages include:

Crandon “Gold” Package (World Championships and Brush Run)

On April 1st, 2016, Crandon International Raceway will open up reservations for individual races,  reservations for Camps 2, 3 and 5, as well as 2016 Grandstand seating reservations.
