The Mopar brand has brought out a number of vehicles highlighting production and concept parts and accessories at the SEMA Show today, but the truck crowd will be most interested in the Ram Rebel X, a concept version of the Ram Rebel that takes its off-road and performance to another level.
Having recently tested the Ram 1500 Rebel, we appreciated the additional ground clearance from the 33-inch Toyo tires it features. The Rebel X, however, takes it a step further by fitted larger 35-inch Toyo all-terrains, which are mounted on 17-inch cast-aluminum beadlock wheels that features Mopar center caps for added style. Ram also fit the Rebel X with a concept air ride suspension that is re-calibrated to provide additional lift to accommodate the larger tires and increase overall ground clearance.
The Rebel X features Ram’s 5.7-liter HEMI engine, which Mopar upgraded with a 5.7-liter cold-air intake, cat-back exhaust and exhaust tips, fed by an active Ram Air duct.
For added trail protection, a concept two-piece skid plate it fitted on the Rebel X, while black tubular side steps make it easier for entry and exit. Out back, the truck bed is secured with a soft tri-fold tonneau cover, and a Mopar dual exhaust bed step makes accessing gear in the truck bed.
Mopar adorned the Rebel X with a dark Copper paint job that is accented with a Matte Black graphic trimmed with a Mopar Blue tracer. Mopar also fit the Rebel X with all-weather slush mats, a pedal kit and door sills.
